) K  \' y  ^. ~Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
2 @' ~0 |- T& P3 w# u# I Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" d  z5 W/ P; A, e Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
8 M" A$ X2 H% g0 Y* `7 |- E# }( e& ? Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
* o2 i, E0 J2 ?8 p Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
  S0 n1 m/ D7 M4 k6 L* g. B# _9 c Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
" w3 @3 K  ]) j4 F) F% e+ ?0 d9 @ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

0 u7 \# A) k; c) PQualifications:

1 j* ?; O& l8 y Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
8 |* M7 ^5 U6 Y+ k' B Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! t* |9 X4 x6 h9 o0 B Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
% G; o$ }2 z8 I5 J7 ~( c* E$ R: N Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
+ n. c" A2 n, D# y# ~5 uThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
$ N6 h9 I" @  U' W# Ostarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
Closing Date December 28, 2005.
