2 I2 z/ D9 z& a( u0 ?9 h" [ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
" |  h8 O/ M" b" [ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 ?/ U! x3 H5 Z: u# R4 Q9 i Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
8 l$ A$ k) V/ w5 ~' _0 f2 u Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

4 D' P  N$ V& F Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
' ?8 h+ F. _4 Z& U( I# w, l* p Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
6 F; [, k2 k1 Y0 R' D Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
5 @: f2 q4 U; E) }. E/ ] Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
