 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
; V( U4 p6 c( X6 b  [' p Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 X# ^$ [# \9 Q: W Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
6 q' B+ Y, E. A* y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; h1 W& U9 E9 ^) T) d/ A$ f Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
' ]/ \8 p, L) U Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' Z- V: A+ w  m Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
* T/ J" I+ s3 T% k Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
& p- ?- b1 O- L& ]7 j% _ Knowledge of community resources.
3 f& b7 D% t# ^& l5 ^ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
, t8 E6 J, ~! t( M- y Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

; P7 {, {! O% H8 `4 Y) e0 Y, bThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
