Major Responsibilities:

• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;+ z% v! {2 g7 W. o6 L
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
( k- ?; g; V P g" J. @: B3 ^• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;. T S( G" C( ]% O( E
• Others.% ^/ D/ V/ D$ @" q1 V b, ]
+ Q1 n3 o3 d; B, t$ x; E- F6 ~Qualifications:1 D9 ~' ]! }- {
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. * I# b( \' z/ d1 G- T
• Equipment design experience is required;) ?; l( I# C( G( c
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;7 G5 g' n9 X) ~6 q1 p/ i" E
• Familiar with CAD software;' z8 ~9 Z" ^' V
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
8 {: S) K8 P: K& _, @! g' Q& T4 l• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:. l$ J. a/ q4 [8 \) [6 A
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
