An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
" q) Q3 H( x! l6 [' K% u, {+ @•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

. x# D, d& I0 y3 }2 h' o  jQualifications:
2 F+ Q$ @1 n9 u3 R•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
0 ]1 J% k5 s2 y9 a0 n•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
' P  ~# l4 c; `- E; G3 W•        Familiar with CAD software;
, G5 R7 K1 \0 ]•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
2 f; J# e' t7 u: O, J2 G•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
! J% k) K9 }& H0 J; k" n1 nSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
