Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
( Y5 G) y+ W+ X* p; [9 GResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
, u  L% F" w, WMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

* x! X5 _! s% q2 X" d
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
; r/ {, i& D8 q6 J" i3 t6 z% J  QMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
; }+ k6 E4 p3 c5 dUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
7 |; q$ U' T! r2 NUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
' Z% c8 B( D" V2 O: ~  i# fCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
% k+ G" c% k, M" `Ability to communicate with all levels of management
; m$ t7 e  F- f& JAbility to work independently as well as in a team
