Some basic tips:
1. Buy only what you want, and don't be tempted only by price.
2. Avoid mail-in rebate (esp. with large values) as much as you can. Some of them are very unreliable.
3. Buy online if possible to avoid crowds.
4. You might buy your item early and then price match later to ensure what you want, but YMMV.
5. View this forum as often as you can, and feel free to discuss, ask and answer questions, and share your experiences.
