; P6 r. H* c. wKey Responsibilities & Duties:

- l5 r0 @) h1 x3 |8 R Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( D7 M# p3 I; r0 g Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: V! [3 x3 h# |  A/ D Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
/ K% t& {  {8 k; M  H* V' j( O# H Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- h, a! R% p. W, ^$ G Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
1 C+ X8 P4 I) s- c% L Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
# \  B: U# p. c, {2 J! G& K* o" j: x Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


0 q: Y8 c/ }$ D/ E3 G, @Qualifications:

3 S3 q) v4 u% D) b! U Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; N. N- y( N# G: Z1 Y/ t& { Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
. K$ y% m7 M* l' @6 S7 P% v Knowledge of community resources.
. Q7 n( }- Y; I. W6 W8 ? Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
5 W* H: N3 e! O$ ?This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
! D( l3 Y3 s8 j' z* [6 E9 p& Estarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
