Key Responsibilities & Duties:

' Z/ |) ]# v4 _+ V8 i. P+ H Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.( R/ a0 K0 l, L5 L. i
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.

 Completing required paperwork. k& N# y; [+ w( u5 \# t7 P
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
& A: J) |3 N0 b8 d( P8 S Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.% Y" U, `- a/ y: O% D
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
: L$ T8 @5 c7 `; J& S# S Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.% A4 J3 [3 I" O8 U
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.! V7 }' p o: E3 G) N
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager./ c: L" n# K/ t% q/ L
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

8 L* q; _) y! J3 S/ E; b8 e Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 ~7 O3 K* S0 b1 |7 u2 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.5 p7 L5 k9 B# \4 U# Y, ?
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.9 h0 z& p+ N0 a- O3 g) T
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.- @4 V/ h; K0 K+ X. ^
 Knowledge of community resources.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 7 T2 D+ ?+ j! ?; l3 S1 M
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
