, g) L L% I3 V/ g7 f& K Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
, n" ?9 Q9 S) t7 u+ @2 }9 K1 T* Q( b Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
; c' Z5 M4 o, j) \1 w, }+ ] Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.- ]* K8 F* }' Y" K( k* t8 ~% r+ a. U W
 Completing required paperwork. K3 y# q: q1 P1 Q
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
. ]* Z2 e! r4 ?! v, Y' S, P Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% L8 m Y- A' u* W7 q; L Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
' X g7 ?0 [, D Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
' U5 j7 R' J, R7 ?- d. s Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
* K! E# I+ G- Z4 @/ K2 m; M Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
0 L$ _( X+ N9 F8 [ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
; S% t( @ I; x H) a5 G! P. K Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.- e E3 S" v: b% Y; u9 Y
 Knowledge of community resources.# k% F4 s3 H8 p( N
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.& |' D$ I1 @5 P: u9 b4 G& i
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. " m4 J6 r( V n4 _

Position:
5 ^2 i* K. s: u0 D6 w: G* ~This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
# H4 i$ D+ l/ I/ gstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
