2 S4 S2 @. k, \0 i1 q5 ~- N Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
5 {6 W! [6 C! m& D: S0 b( h Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
  o# G6 H+ p' {* _/ } Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
2 \: _1 R& d! s# h Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
, h: Y% s/ C/ E Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, `* V. w4 ~% g+ U! x5 Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
3 A! c3 ~$ g# n1 I- D Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


6 S- o8 D+ f' w2 I( S) \& AQualifications:

6 G# f# R0 M0 q0 T% y Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
. ^. A$ `) {2 c9 H: x. Y* C Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) c/ u( z3 o) Y9 R6 T) A Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
* R$ Q' y3 X5 n: Q* g1 @6 b Knowledge of community resources.
" ]' o( f. l% U2 S0 g3 x% R9 J Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# Y% ]% v0 e! F3 M9 M Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
! Y* z- U- w: Y# B3 tThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
8 Q4 j9 P: a3 K( N* j7 a8 Q5 b$ sstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
