9 y, l* m8 S  X' ^, ~* F Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
/ v3 \* c1 |) l* [0 g3 _ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* A4 a) P  B) v7 _4 S3 X0 h Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
# r. `( R5 z7 S/ c9 E Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
( J! Z8 W+ B* f& v3 i Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
( `7 x0 w# i4 q9 b/ q0 A. l Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
) v* v; \# l# b) V Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
! o( }) w9 s) b
/ g( H3 w6 A; r1 W+ Z Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
: y7 {  n9 ]6 x9 J" E Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
* D. k& x3 T- I) M) d Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 Y) y) T: w. X8 t5 c* o Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
( ^/ ?* a( [$ wThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
- m, f9 p% `- y6 m. Y$ mstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
