 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
; E$ Y, J6 o% `! L Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
4 J k0 ?8 N4 j" T' H Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: n6 N S+ k1 Z2 \0 W Completing required paperwork.
' a* ?# T! s9 i' R0 p Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.4 q3 q5 y# r& W) E# }! F
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.3 m, [& x) i2 [- d v {+ n: d# x
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
! q1 i+ Y8 l3 {, I2 ^! ^3 `4 O' ] Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

. ]: m5 Z3 c3 [1 E! \) H4 y0 ^ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.2 J/ d* P; D6 ~
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
+ ^' a5 Y6 O" U0 J/ d) | Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.! \: d; v- @7 r; N2 @- L3 {
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
& v3 Q( @% m6 m& [& ^3 ^3 a( K Knowledge of community resources.0 _7 t$ \. Q" }. }. s
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
: V' z0 z3 W" d5 o, B9 W1 K y0 z7 R Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 9 e: ] P6 R1 X& ~

Position:0 R5 g, n3 h* ?2 y7 T4 u
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. 4 \+ F7 S) k1 _8 R s3 ~: j
There is a 3-month probationary period.
