Key Responsibilities & Duties:
% i. P+ J9 `4 N; o
% `& c1 ~2 b) Z9 y4 F+ ^ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
+ z4 b" ]8 C% ^8 ?) P9 ^ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
8 K4 ^% D/ S9 }2 W Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
. \7 o( G4 D+ |8 S Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
* U. w. X: b- G' e6 T/ D Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
  M* I' f% h: Q/ _/ U0 @ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
# Q' L& {; k+ D6 _% t2 i& S1 m Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

4 n: l! b$ ]' Y1 E: [This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
