Duties
' ]# V5 T/ x/ S" j& M" S fDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
+ ?9 Z' C, s1 X( QObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
& ]4 u, Q7 J; D6 WEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
9 w6 I7 V! o) e G4 |0 e7 LPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
+ k/ h% J A4 J. M; P' x* F! ~Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions1 p2 H5 x+ R) x/ K
Performs related duties as required

* v) _8 S2 K3 D- b( w) [ RValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years. F5 a' J# i" o7 e7 I: r5 V
High School diploma; previous driving experience required6 b7 y& M* |6 E7 q) _- r& g1 p T9 @
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification* c1 M, i/ ?6 @0 }" \' i: g
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
