1 E1 w. c7 R7 q( g: i- K9 ]. P8 a Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
- s( a' [+ J% M8 k, A- ] Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
3 h9 I8 I+ l! P& W8 G8 u- U Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

7 c4 f4 G3 v% o( C  d  e8 G; c Social work degree or diploma
8 C/ Y' V2 H2 Z1 A- X" ~ Current RSW designation preferred   
9 |4 k, |: N" f0 ]9 G Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
0 r! a4 T% P$ _: f) W Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
/ l7 D7 Q+ N) c: \! u/ k Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Z. _% }# N" Y5 o/ Q Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
