& h3 G+ L3 G8 y6 N& j# b9 y+ M Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
8 D' ]5 N" n1 h# v; a3 ^7 z Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
9 p7 F# |6 u2 [8 V2 k Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
5 r! [' v0 L* E1 L! }) { Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

' E4 i3 m( ]- A7 q% `# k- a Social work degree or diploma
& O* r5 W( v8 T% {; A Current RSW designation preferred   
; K0 C$ O% q2 |- c" S Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
/ |5 W: _3 K4 X0 P Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
