 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
+ J0 c" h2 p+ C2 m; M4 C: `4 A Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
& l7 V$ v; k2 h8 M! f: i Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
2 z  s6 F1 M# r. I. d Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
9 m+ r3 ^+ \% R3 @$ z( e Current RSW designation preferred   
/ n7 E8 V: c2 ^- M4 w; a Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
! ]; @; A( g+ M) \& G% m Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
/ G% l9 h  |$ ] Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
& E* U8 ^0 a& @/ r Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
