 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
) z6 a3 [; a" K/ `* E: L' i% S! K( T- h Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
4 c: P  w3 m! Q  }6 @0 k Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
6 z; b9 {' R7 B- W1 g Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
# h; Y# l' l8 W, r$ z! ? Current RSW designation preferred   
7 ^2 A( n5 @4 o8 ^ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
  g: d' }( i! q% D- o Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
. `1 t" _+ {0 J3 x+ u' w Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
9 I' ^( ]$ ~( M  }2 d* S' ]% Q Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
