议题上持右翼保守立场，自身同性恋但是伪装成异性恋和异性结婚，为了政治目的公开

years, Jim West supported several anti-gay bills, including one that would

He also proposed a law that would ban all sexual activity among persons

senator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged
sexual harassment.

West was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
3 ~' l5 m/ ~9 v: P) b/ uabusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
4 k9 O7 j' f! o5 F# ~) ]- ]1 a# zand Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
to lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
+ ~* Y7 i) C6 mallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
$ ^$ d  x0 m8 I: X( Krelationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

West confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
$ x2 L0 D. S. t% K& {the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
( a+ w# `. d3 f8 l  k) j; r8 G5 i. b4 Yjust graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
18.

Ted Arthur Haggard (born June 27, 1956) is a former American evangelical

founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
# r' T, X9 G9 }# [3 Ileader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
3 r5 F# N6 _7 A$ r  S. m* n. HNovember 2006.

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership
positions after he admitted soliciting prostitute Mike Jones for homosexual
! }* b1 `& |8 D" N+ R2 \5 ]sex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
: }; v( q! F  j6 F: z8 c2 h0 ybut as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
) D- {% b1 s3 H# y' c# H# w7 D, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

! F+ b! C# M' \* A6 H6 @After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
/ @2 p" F, `4 t. h  Mministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]
Ralph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
" Z% h" |5 M! Vembrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues.

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a
young male church member had come forward in 2006 and that there was an "

reached a six figure settlement with the man, who was in his early 20s at

and this is not about "opening new wounds" it's about a much larger issue.[
