A woman found slain in her Capilano bungalow was a pipefitter who had lived in the southside neighbourhood for a couple of years, say neighbours.! X: T2 E0 ~- y

Edmonton police assured residents that they had no reason to be fearful, but officers did ask neighbours for their shoe sizes and vital stats during a canvass of the area.

Forensics officers continued to probe the scene at 10816 52 St. on Tuesday night.

Lynn Gregory, vice-president of the Capilano Community League, was surprised to hear about the ongoing homicide investigation.

“We get the odd B-and-E and car theft around here, but other than that, not too much (crime),” she said.
