A woman found slain in her Capilano bungalow was a pipefitter who had lived in the southside neighbourhood for a couple of years, say neighbours. E$ L1 Y. s+ X0 ]7 c+ v+ M

Edmonton police assured residents that they had no reason to be fearful, but officers did ask neighbours for their shoe sizes and vital stats during a canvass of the area.

Lynn Gregory, vice-president of the Capilano Community League, was surprised to hear about the ongoing homicide investigation.

“We get the odd B-and-E and car theft around here, but other than that, not too much (crime),” she said.
