Edmonton police assured residents that they had no reason to be fearful, but officers did ask neighbours for their shoe sizes and vital stats during a canvass of the area.

The woman was found slain inside the 1,200-square-foot home shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, said Edmonton police spokeswoman Lisa Sobchyshyn.2 r( ^1 j5 p7 X" y

“We get the odd B-and-E and car theft around here, but other than that, not too much (crime),” she said.0 u' a2 R0 V# [8 ?2 U; q
