Edmonton police assured residents that they had no reason to be fearful, but officers did ask neighbours for their shoe sizes and vital stats during a canvass of the area.6 |1 p& D! k. k

“They (police) asked us what size shoes we wore and how tall we were and our weight,” said a woman who lives across the street from the crime scene but didn’t want her name published.- F# l; R& x2 e: V8 x

‘Not too worried’

Forensics officers continued to probe the scene at 10816 52 St. on Tuesday night.

Lynn Gregory, vice-president of the Capilano Community League, was surprised to hear about the ongoing homicide investigation.

The slain woman, whose name has not been released, is the city’s 24th homicide victim of 2010.
