When should I start to read bedtime story to my son?

Hi all the moms,
7 _, a9 ~  B: ]9 _9 ]" q, |- ~When did you start to read bedtime story to your baby? My son doesn't really want to listen. He is always eager to flip the page when I am trying to read.
/ }: z6 L- o* I# G( h1 }And just out of curiosity, do you turn the light on or just turn a little bed lamp on when you are reading?

我们家这个从小就是睡觉前必定要看书的，以前小的时候必定要读书的，每天一篇不够的。呵呵。

我家的14个月，有时候睡觉前自己拿本书，你看她翻的去说，她会有指，就告诉她是什么，编个故事，不是按字读，一本书有固定的几个图案是她喜欢的，其他也是一翻而过。

不记得从什么时候开始睡前故事了。不过刚开始时他也很急着翻书，我就告诉他妈妈不能读故事了因为你翻得太快了。then he try very hard to stop doing that.

我宝宝小时候我曾试图给他读书,发现他只喜欢咬书,就放弃给宝宝读书了.
1 X/ c, H, e! ]$ V7 |  z现在16个多月了,前几周偶然有一次,我从图书馆借了几本书,都没指望给他读书,只是觉得去趟图书馆不借本书似乎白去一趟似地. 谁知道回来后他拿着书追着让我给读,一天让我读好几回. 现在看得出他很enjoy看书了.

我家老大从八九个月开始的，不过不是讲故事，是读儿歌；他很喜欢，可能因为而各有韵律，听起来想唱歌吧！

thanks for sharing everyone. Recently, my son will grab my hands and point to the book and I will read out whatever he pointed out. hopefully, he will enjoy reading from now.
) T: t) R7 Y9 I: CAlso, does any one turn on the light in the bedroom when reading? Is that to distracted when I am trying to let him fall asleep on his own?
