Diagnosing diesel engine malfunctions and making indicated repairs

  D$ k- G  I4 qProviding daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts

Diagnosing locomotive component malfunctions

Good eye-hand coordination

Welding skills

  ]+ x7 G) u2 J0 w1 S/ [- `Visual acuity and hearing threshold tests are required for this position. Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.

This is not a Red Seal apprenticeship.
