 Marketing, promotion and direct placement of clients to employers.

 Continually establish new contacts with employers in public and private sectors.

 Follow up with job maintenance assistance

Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer: u: T, j8 C2 w) y" g
 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.
" q- q+ H1 Q! i+ L Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.! x2 i8 D: m4 k7 ^
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
% n) |4 Z4 h  P, y Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.
; s  h' f/ v6 V$ p  x: {: M Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
& E3 _5 b  n/ K4 M. R) \ Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.
0 G( {* G3 s. V0 Z) _9 n3 O. W Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.
9 G' u% y1 e7 R, E Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.
0 V' X/ x9 y# K  s; F" A& s Keep up-to-date all other administrative tasks as directed by the Program Co-ordinator.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.
- K9 R  W7 k8 o: r* Z, I0 | Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.% W7 z( @3 d7 g- u2 G) O! j
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.8 x4 C  J8 Z" U- m  [, l
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
  H: D7 s8 b" S: s3 g Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.' s" |1 D8 x' a6 V1 F6 k2 c. z5 _
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.
* E2 J: O" a- c Create and update clients files on Mobius computer system0 M' ^0 R+ F/ }- E* ~. T

7 f4 V  k7 t: G3 j8 ] Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period
! t: I  x; R" x! l$ e3 R Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded
6 q  T/ ~. R  T Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan; {, t+ _9 H/ W! }, j$ _+ M) d$ m8 ?
 Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment
9 J& X! c6 g4 b) J4 n7 ? Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
% A5 [* g5 v  q Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants
3 q) H; ^" a% ?& F7 E Complete participant reviews with the participants
/ z+ |# c& Z2 b2 P- S, e* R8 e Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
7 h/ a( r/ U3 H. |3 u( [ Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator; I: A8 i( c+ N! K* `
