 Marketing, promotion and direct placement of clients to employers.

 Liaise with clients and employers.  \  I( x  u) l1 V0 j* E
 Maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for clients.

 Build on current employer data bank.

 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.7 `# y3 U/ M0 n
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.3 {; x, E- l8 z3 h; J6 Z' Q
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.5 T" t! E- W+ b8 |& A4 r
 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.

 Be required to work flexible hours, with some evening and occasional weekend work

 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.

 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.& `. y0 _9 d! g6 i4 P/ s5 a
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.# a, ^) U6 r! S' A" F9 }3 a0 x
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.; C6 T" b7 m! P4 h
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.; ]; I! o+ D3 m4 d2 r" J
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
5 u8 p# J  b' J" [ Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period1 V. F# t, u; w" F
 Ensure participants’ progress is tracked and recorded
# Q4 b' w4 d& X) x' X/ q- K Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
1 T+ K( d2 c" t# _ Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment
' r% h5 m4 D- z Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
- `; z$ L+ ?0 L% w- u( y& @ Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants& a- N4 m; I9 g: e  q& o4 S
 Complete participant reviews with the participants
+ A7 ?1 q* u1 f3 N. u- ] Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
- B' M) c- j3 ]! ~9 k( }$ K Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator. t3 ^4 `( C( J# n( s
