Job Description
1 l( O% x6 N9 V9 f, o; P, ^- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information6 y" [" i- U2 c5 B' w
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.* _6 A( N4 p7 R$ |& q1 `
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP; W3 n! t+ Z* @" I6 y
- provide support to ISP staff7 T- _1 `8 Z1 e; W4 i& i
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members# P6 F' L% Z# H1 O, M' v
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
6 w7 W1 O# z3 M& p4 b. C# J3 j- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
" {. U) d6 @% L, H- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants+ P* @0 [) H$ G" i6 U5 X" A
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
2 \+ Q0 O q* d* i# e$ c- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder6 p+ N/ d0 X c4 c. c4 q
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.

- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered o+ i& L4 E6 F' f8 b& X6 l
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available( a2 N/ r0 v/ N9 o2 }5 L9 d. [
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
2 s: Q/ p0 W. g, b, V& D. U- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software* d+ F S* a( U7 n! s2 w$ F8 G
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)8 O. j. y+ R9 }" O9 f2 R
- good interpersonal and people skills" ?" m" o8 J1 @' G
- good organizational and coordination skills8 k" E( ~# N8 c; u1 d
