Job Description
( _7 @# o4 {6 g/ |/ P- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
5 B2 c/ X2 V7 R$ ]- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.6 ]3 h6 K( q ` j3 D
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP7 i v9 P$ k) n% t9 P( [* I
- provide support to ISP staff7 Z$ W3 E% x( l' @
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
: s% v5 T; k" O5 _' ]- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
" P9 I7 _$ w+ W% F; `8 [& \2 y+ Y- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
: R( S- [" x( I$ X- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants6 T2 E R3 Y2 a
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
) }5 h. ?6 j7 A& Q5 k! \- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
; a7 b8 X4 N0 Q- C) y4 x8 ?1 w% P- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
. N/ H( p' m, _( g" G/ r- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
" _. n1 s! E! v3 o" U3 {3 u* i4 ]- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned6 C- w, m) ~/ L

Qualifications" s8 y8 d5 |7 _* c+ {3 p5 l( p/ z
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
# y: r: U" y; V$ O- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
! l+ H$ {) c0 M. `- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers+ a$ @) d( J' x. B6 x
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software) M, q, R- i# t0 x+ t1 ^% o- y [5 t
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)8 M, h* o/ S. \
- good interpersonal and people skills/ H$ T8 _) {. a
- good organizational and coordination skills) N( ]7 u" s/ ?' w
- valid driver’s license0 b9 D- o3 }: n9 Y2 V

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense
