Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:8 G( Y' K& l0 T# J: u. J
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
B0 a: j" v, b1 F4 |7 M: }' i. D- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
$ y) h" U4 H) k) W0 i) k- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
