Position:        Youth Leader
- }7 g  a  t& h5 A5 vDuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
: w+ A5 l# q8 h5 nCamp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
+ H2 l: |1 [& V*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

9 L0 j& l; u) A9 ^" HDuties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
' o8 o: f9 {6 }4 m- T. T' i7 ]. P Take attendance if available
2 c0 f: {% ^) }6 _# J Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
, |* V9 ?: z$ t# L  i  L; h! G8 b( H Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
* s; r) i, a  C. |. s. P3 Y1 e Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
4 {0 R/ o+ r6 p0 N Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
3 ]9 ?, n, h; h' m- a, q0 X0 {  K7 B Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
* N3 v3 |, G7 Z( c% f Assist in program planning/design
( B- r9 J! Y1 v4 o* I/ X% R Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
" j/ C& T5 W- s# Q% ` Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
# {! ~2 n5 a2 w- K6 V8 {7 _ Able to work independently with minimum supervision
0 B4 p. _" o4 h3 S3 X0 s( h Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
