4 F/ Y6 v) \7 rAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
, [4 M2 V+ l% Cnine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
) Z& H- |" P0 g  t/ ]! cThe YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

5 q" I+ ?- e; S8 Y$ xproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
4 N; N  l! {6 F! F# H6 `1 }employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
5 ]  w4 w% E! a7 |/ B; D- h0 M& ~5 d8 S6 KThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
3 ^, ?7 y- a0 K! s5 N- ]6 S& M/ @' zthe skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
. [& _/ \" V3 y) S: Rparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
; @$ |# V  |; N: O+ kpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
6 L( @4 N9 B- d, B+ \: Dand leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
$ T0 M" i1 {, u+ M9 Xfollow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
5 n' _) c; l" f/ z1 ]( P; V! UYOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
