YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. ! v/ f. V) J' c: }

6 _. _3 E# S& ?# r3 _2 n3 F/ H1 W• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired/ {* R4 n. v* Z" r
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll3 v9 _! N+ s9 {: Y8 `& ~
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
' h( D: J. A$ M& p/ @2 f0 B• Input benefit deductions into payroll
5 T$ e% J+ j1 S3 U* Q) [: i6 A# f( n. w1 C; h" M. p
Reporting duties:* m" u* d/ n) W6 i/ l% r
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
$ k$ v1 e" C1 C' T& ]9 u• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
3 b1 i- B$ {& [# X% C1 W$ T• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s% U# \ w* F! Y8 l
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
- c7 ~0 E4 O0 o& i• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
# g1 ]3 E- A9 n9 Z• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.# B7 ^. C) _7 t0 d. c3 l
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
) d' S2 ^8 F+ R4 d• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting$ g5 P( k S( p1 A! d/ r" I# [
% i1 ~" h$ ^ w2 C A" l1 m$ f, S: ~& wAccounts Receivable:
; }9 T9 ?$ G3 w$ R( E- H• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
4 ~" K( [6 {- G) ~• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
& h! @- K( P8 p* b• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments, ?, l% [( l+ L2 d: {* Y: a6 I1 p
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing7 |* t- x& R8 V) l) s

! P0 Q6 U6 ^ s+ U1 N6 b• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
/ B R4 z; e" [, j• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
2 ~5 E" Z. m x• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position0 p. J, k6 K" `# v& Y( `+ ?
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office: n5 V4 I w; G2 u7 D
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
4 f/ M& M; I8 W• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure z3 I; Y9 L5 x1 @
• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
