YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:
6 X! G1 F0 n" \/ m2 |8 [• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired# H# [* C4 m1 m7 m, R
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll$ M/ d" E9 _/ k& ?! o$ B
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
; }9 }; {. R3 e9 u+ p! ?• Input benefit deductions into payroll3 B, W; [' \% N7 I
1 b9 k0 V% T: p* }0 W1 oReporting duties:
: Z+ d0 \: n8 s! \- {# U# t- P* F# i• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider) ]1 h# ]" |1 y" |
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website. M2 I! \! X: r2 q' ^- }8 n
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
: g# ~' }8 m$ O/ e" g• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll * O) |$ i2 }# i% p3 p3 F1 C2 y
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.& ]: r# i5 } k8 J
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies! j! Y+ ?: i* c7 ^
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

, L5 p7 T% Q& c$ r0 j• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit Z" A9 x9 w a2 s+ {/ ^$ Y4 _
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department5 X' F( G5 S7 _. |
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments O9 `0 A* |6 _( A% ]$ m) W
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

; A- e' M# o2 s( B• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
% k3 |% \5 P8 {- K$ a- u• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
" W6 t' P. \& j/ a: z& Y• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
|' n7 x; ?- I+ g0 R' Q( e• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office5 e3 _% ~/ u D$ i: r
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
