Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker7 O7 ]& J6 {$ E3 {6 _! }

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person, n1 X: \" O4 N! m R- p0 U& P2 c3 H
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
! x$ N2 {* j, S$ `) W• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
. B- B3 p& y7 i6 G" y E• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# z* u7 \) D. [
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
, \' N* Z3 `) K( a• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
2 E9 @! \" B; z/ J5 Y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker6 W# }; {( Z5 M2 y+ d% m3 R& [+ s
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
7 r, E$ S4 c4 U# i |• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
% R$ y# e5 X' H: X4 W1 ?; A• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 A' N; \, f! ]' C6 w9 X! B
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
$ A$ `. Z0 s+ I' e2 _* B- K• Good English writing and oral communication skills
1 E2 O/ @& B2 I• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
; i2 l+ f. y1 v; L1 ?) [, x• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook* ^& u) ?# U& J
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 3 m& u, M+ a2 R
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds, W: _2 N1 e4 d. m- U2 d
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

9 n5 w* _. @! X: C, C: p7 c ]8 Z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
' H' R5 o+ b4 G" c• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' A7 O, y- X9 |& T, g) M, h• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism- ?8 k; \3 T# [# x/ W
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
