Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 4 M* ?# ^( k2 d

1 p D6 Z, j- |3 n• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' ?, g" e% e" ~& D5 b* G
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* k" ?- l2 N) d. {3 T• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 N1 X& C' E: h" K9 Z7 K, d• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
9 B0 ?7 q6 S, N8 Z9 G/ H• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
# ~' S& d0 R, ^) t0 N0 q+ ^; X- @• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# u, y. D/ r2 T7 z; A" l
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
! W: {3 I$ G, X2 Q$ @* U& Q5 L• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
, x0 f* n" K. r- M1 E4 u% Q1 P5 c• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events: i. |2 c: v" [! g
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
R) w$ B7 g8 W, s6 H• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters# {# ?# P( O; ~, P) C
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person- e7 n9 V- i7 }% X" N/ i" }
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, D+ j/ c2 m3 I0 P& k5 \
• Good English writing and oral communication skills# k ^" _' h8 J9 V! X
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& q9 T2 }. P. I6 N• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook* I' N3 ^# j* s
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

6 p9 r3 T( x3 P, P• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ) o7 G( X) L: D* ]) ]
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment8 _5 ]" S4 t6 T2 h7 _5 \4 T
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
' T6 ]! O# e3 G. Z, Y# |& Q/ n9 ~7 g• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
