Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 M. r# ^, C1 q: j

Key Responsibilities:

- O, V" o5 c% W" [4 |• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST1 x; p8 o7 O5 h; k2 _
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 O1 B6 o+ L: }# Y
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% v: b7 @2 B% u' g. \• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings8 `# a' f' c4 }5 E A% N/ b6 X4 r
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
% w# q6 x' A0 O( D0 s7 ?• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
% B7 j" H& ~) n P• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events0 z$ h% V2 u# G3 U7 c. Y' R& {+ ]7 p
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events( \# K) y6 I! `( x9 {
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
) _3 o; F' _+ q( A/ D• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( v; A5 V3 b6 ?3 \
• Good English writing and oral communication skills$ [7 P- ^* {! H3 k4 o$ {4 }3 ~
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients& d$ h, U$ P1 k5 g
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

! e' r/ W7 A" g2 ~• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
1 a! U# W+ B$ M• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience x( i6 M) W8 b! h- P5 l
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment4 p' R, D5 w! ]- R- m5 ~& F
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
( e Q+ Z# P. f9 A! ^• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
