Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 u$ Y+ g- A. ]) T2 V( y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 S# R' O( N0 h/ g
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
+ m. o4 A" C; B" Y; w8 v• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# \4 \2 r. B- r6 ]: j
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
1 }' ^' {; M4 R- O. @$ P• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 W: y) i2 ~3 h• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean! D: ]3 L5 j2 c% Y; r
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

' y" \9 K3 H% W. R0 M2 K• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person4 q E: j! c, Y& V( \
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
( _% d0 L# {& j- O. E1 j2 S4 Y• Good English writing and oral communication skills, ]4 v, @& b* J$ c8 H, m
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients: X& v# `& ~ R" g7 k6 n" U
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook2 o. L+ X$ \$ r- }8 x
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment" e0 x$ I! @ i4 B
• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 [) W: U* M4 W% o! L3 Y: m
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment9 m, g6 ~. |+ m1 n+ q, J! u' k* _
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 r; U x: u7 z1 w* O8 {
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision9 ~+ }- S$ O4 R, X' v9 s4 i3 O
