Scope and Purpose of Job
* H7 n6 n2 G! u3 T6 _$ m; R: i) PEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.. P. X2 p; y3 t* W; H
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
9 M/ L9 I" I+ p! P•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
5 h: J, E& N9 a! p# E5 K/ F•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.! V' b" g! L/ N$ o
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems  I# H% I  W' p& W
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
7 N1 W; `7 R' }4 u- J/ G' M# [•        Assist where needed in application questions.4 k2 k" c8 `5 o9 I5 P# `5 s
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
- g; s7 |" u0 D: Y' Qo        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
9 Z) ], b' B( P: X! ko        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
, I8 U5 d4 B7 }2 @•        Track and report all warranty failures
) |' I' l& a- e, O' x" H9 ]: io        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.

•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
3 d7 S# p( W2 T& qo        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports6 l2 n7 a& _$ R: F6 K
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.0 X! |$ V/ ~  X# w3 V
o        Assist in writing and new product specification  g- e* u& Y# Z( z3 `
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
% {2 i7 s( E! D9 g  yo        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
/ }7 f4 w$ J+ B! h$ [2 R3 v6 C8 T•        Assist in Sales support & training.9 i/ f( X3 q4 P4 T
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.2 z9 q5 Y: z, i# c
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
, ^: }% q4 @' S, s5 C" {5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers+ x, o/ ~, J& U+ y8 Q3 H+ X
List of Skills/Qualifications       
/ n6 u* }4 d$ j6 F•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
4 |, r  u, ~# x" g; S$ d7 i•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
) O7 d6 h6 b4 K9 ^•        Proficient in software use and writing.
3 e+ e- x7 n7 H* ]•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports." N$ }$ j) z& d# a
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
