Job Description:# h; M) N j* c7 S9 I7 L4 Q! V
• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
, G( w0 Q4 E: ]3 a1 n9 [3 ]• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components2 f! d8 z- Z& l- c* M) i! w* ~5 T
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers' W( B7 k7 S2 G
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams' z0 d! g4 l) u
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
" t" E7 w; c3 A• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
% C4 d4 o I: Z7 e( u• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools# ]/ ]9 U* p% C4 R1 Y" S& m6 L6 I4 M
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
: k, b" _; ?" I: l' M* m+ K0 G# S• Mix paint, blend and match colors$ v$ Y' d4 ~ H l* ?& V
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
$ i2 B+ E% z( k• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
+ C5 v( q- Q6 s* c( b% X• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation1 V4 t* U7 K- I1 M4 ]' a. Q: y
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
2 I% l/ C* a! `0 B& Z" mEducation and Experience Requirements:

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
4 T1 w$ n8 U6 k) W2 h& F1 G8 ~• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
