Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new

-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
! S7 E2 @5 b# s6 Z, h. r-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
  ^( S  O8 J4 d-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
8 A0 H  ^. ?) \1 v# L( C- j-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
9 [. N; w$ E  j8 C4 B. ]! G-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
8 J) H- ^! _7 j, n. L7 _-        Lead short term projects;
6 f! x+ ~3 j9 x- }0 W% j8 k! P-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
0 F) @. @; b& e- ~-        Excellent written communication skills;
+ i+ C' G- i% C4 w# W-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

' {. o+ G/ z* t6 f. L# e(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

3 R! o  |& f; ~0 x(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

+ w8 S5 R3 s; `9 d4 P# ^" H. P- m(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

( g- m/ V/ ?9 o% w" n+ \( g5 U(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

- Infragistics controls

2 m: D  Z+ D0 a+ U, B- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- O. e! ]# \* n) E9 `0 k) u; B% s- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
