Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

( y" ^3 n' [" A' I5 z1 c2 b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person3 h( T7 N5 [! z
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
3 ?9 X, ]* I- _! n; k• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately9 A' L" t! u& S5 _
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
- H) O- H8 M. w8 {• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 D+ Q; }1 u& s9 o• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 s0 X8 @! ]* g; F: A
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
2 z! d8 ~( a) F8 R( D• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters" q- N& D; R$ ?2 I/ D
• Maintain front counter service files) N, A& `3 x+ N
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- B7 o- U0 b+ L& e4 J8 K. M. G• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person }$ @2 ], H5 m# ~- F
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( D: {1 m, W2 _
• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 l% [, ?4 f) v# k/ l3 ?
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
7 T2 }5 Z# |: L0 O; G& U; d• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' u& r9 _; w4 _3 a [' K
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:( S' ?3 S; l% B- ^
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
: S/ o4 i/ O* S% F• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ R. _: ?6 M$ a1 f; h: _
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
$ p/ w, n) R: R• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
