Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:

M" B7 M) S cWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 8 w Y5 v# r C$ B' M9 P1 E4 g% ~

Key Responsibilities: M9 m5 R0 a2 F' U* |) @
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
+ R2 y; u/ ~9 b• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST( Q) G: r7 q B5 g( n
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
, K M+ f$ O# i b" {8 j2 g• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter; p% A! Q1 d7 E& e3 ^1 d
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ D) L! |& G" F' [• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ {# {; X, m+ q; ?+ b$ V! w• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 M) Q+ _: }5 o
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
. i) E' }! C( J8 [; z• Keep the reception area tidy and clean" U# P0 g; W2 q& x+ G
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
6 u: E5 i3 ~) p O5 T( P6 s• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
6 c! f8 | ?# V: j- l• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
7 a1 \( }7 x7 y! y$ }& q3 j- g• Good English writing and oral communication skills
. K& s" \; \* o K6 W' ]: |• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
( ~* h8 L+ b9 y) @8 O& w2 |% ?! s• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook& I) x) i* K! H x+ Q+ ^. r. C
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:. R2 U9 z2 P E( V1 f
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 Q5 i9 k# x; ]! U6 Y• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment2 T4 V7 }+ D, l0 u- d9 l
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism; L+ j( a8 [. }6 O
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
