$ K1 U+ L5 \ A% u F, K' JWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 _1 C1 ~0 c- L4 v0 K) {

Key Responsibilities:' `5 _3 D( v: K$ C3 ~
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
/ }( A [( a* D& H3 Y! Z! `! V1 N m• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ W; u- R' `9 H
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 H5 E/ Z- Q6 }" b4 ~ b. e( u• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% H2 ^$ j' ]& J1 i l" q8 M• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 f! l, p6 @* u& O. @• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker9 A" [; R) s3 Y d/ |# a$ ^
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events$ H( Y& t6 b4 H( J; D1 X. F
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events3 O9 D- v! c9 ]) n6 k
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean# J ]- m* Q6 f( p% G7 f
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters( n6 }$ g: ~: `1 a
• Maintain front counter service files' s6 {7 `) r/ T( m5 M# T
• Perform general office duties as assigned1 ^9 ` @ K% l* l T3 Y2 m% ]
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
( U- Q1 V1 ^& A+ [* s; e• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
: T c& L- K! s$ z" h) H) G' L9 A; q• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
+ C4 F9 G- N2 F! N: j% s+ d6 F# D, Y• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:% p. r& I" m' A, Y6 Z
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 9 L$ h; Z W% h' I: {
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ ~" J# A$ `4 X2 S R) ^% Q {; Z! p3 e
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
