Position:         Food Service Supervisor (NOC 6212)

Wages:         $13.30/ hour, 40 hours per week

Main duties:
' p, a% n9 ^, C•        Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
•        Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
•        Prepare food order summaries for chef according to requests from customers
, R$ k$ l! F5 @. l! N•        Establish methods to meet work schedules
3 Z) m9 p- F1 M4 r$ g1 Q& l" _•        Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
•        Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
! T7 K# G6 V/ d( L# \" E•        Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
•        May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
•        May plan menus and determine related food and labour costs

- x% w7 c; v  `- J$ y! b•        Completion of secondary education is required
. i4 m9 Q- x7 n, n•        2 years of experience in food preparation or service are required
+ d# F2 f. ^; S& z% L9 Q: X•        Availability to work day, night and weekend shifts and “on call” requests are a must
+ G" ~$ M9 t7 A•        Viable candidates must  have a suitable means to travel to and from work regardless of time of day
