Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

- provide volunteers to update membership database
* C/ A- w! i, v3 s- s- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers8 \. B" Y3 _2 C9 T
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties4 M! T/ U) U0 W
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties6 D. S( p6 Q4 c. L2 D2 q' \( P$ k8 e
- provide volunteers for various programs ! @7 z4 g k1 \0 T; ~9 F
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual/ C, I: E# W4 v7 X, ~
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
9 ]* Z# F: Z7 r, h5 t7 T8 l; q- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities4 ?! @9 \( Q" o. ?7 D2 X
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services/ C2 I1 ^ ?. Y/ ]& d1 \
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
4 d& }5 y% W! H- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
% ?+ ~: c: M2 C, y, R- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
' i9 g( I. i% P( ?- a- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers / F' A3 N! i. d
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
3 ?; W- b; Q4 X3 N5 s- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

Qualifications
0 S, D2 \" E4 M, p1 S- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education/ T) z6 o: X5 o; P
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
+ T% S: @ r0 a7 ^- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
; }" @" A `' K$ h1 F, x9 r- leadership skills6 x$ C% x ]+ W
- management and supervision skills$ p4 z! M) o; o" [" C7 y. ]; N4 ]% W
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills' g$ U0 j, s3 B, O5 E5 q
