- submit information for community news
1 R7 |$ ^, a0 z, v- N8 X4 \2 E- provide volunteers to update membership database
9 }7 o) Q9 m( W: }- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
& n: {) j9 r& I8 h! q- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
* c) A( n9 F" R& T. S: u- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
# e5 S$ b% z- W& U, n5 t- provide volunteers for various programs 5 A/ c3 j+ k2 T" F4 n* q5 _2 i
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual+ M9 N: b! |3 P7 F7 j( s5 A5 J( J
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
1 P; g, u$ \( b- Y8 y, x5 S- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
9 t3 m2 B- d0 ^$ @- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
) t9 E9 m- m! S. Z% E1 C- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
7 O0 R6 ~$ u0 h! ~! [- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
9 f% |/ [4 A/ [4 R- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ; V: a& }. e, D& ~# S6 u
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
0 V% Y6 L' W4 j, A3 @5 B- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers # v5 I2 q5 t; Z4 f% N# J3 f
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
# \0 }! ?2 ^4 ]: }5 `5 a- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ' I9 H! a% l4 L: M4 }/ M# M
- evaluations 7 N0 j; W" v+ _: Q3 U
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- d, c- J5 {9 O
9 J& l8 q5 D) M- v. SQualifications5 x1 ^0 y8 f8 p. L+ f+ `, X
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education3 K' e, c/ Q% y' _4 H
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 Z0 i1 r' m4 v. o2 H- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services2 @! S* X7 \5 ]9 Z: {* n4 K
- leadership skills

- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
