CALGARY — A teen girl was taken to Foothills Hospital in potentially life-threatening condition Monday morning after a head-on collision that involved a "complicated extrication" near Chestermere.! u( N& ~- i- t. j
9 h! }' O! T) z' Q1 h- |At around 8:30 a.m., RCMP, Chestermere fire crews and Calgary EMS personnel were called to Highway 791 just east of Calgary after a pick-up truck and smaller car crashed head-on, said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux.

4 U$ c- I" {) i( B4 OThe female driver in her mid-teens, who was the lone occupant of the small car, sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire crews.9 A K$ {7 w8 e8 j5 R

STARS Air Ambulance was called to take the girl to the Foothills Hospital.
