% f) l6 O/ Q* q& ?3 }7 PTo support the Executive Director with fundraising, special events and will be instrumental in the development of our Social Enterprise. This position will also be working directly with children 6-12 years old to teach life skills such as self esteem, communication skills, peer relations using recreation and physical activities to promote growth. Small group facilitation, one-to-ones, family support, advocacy and referrals are used to achieve program outcomes.

/ \6 ?0 C$ z- k% rThis is a full time, one year term position working 37.5 hours per week with 10-15 hours per week dedicated to the children’s programming. (Continuation of this position will depend on available funding)

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities include:- u& p# f3 w l2 K
• Working together with the Executive Director to solidify new funding opportunities and write funding reports as needed;
( ]$ o( H0 `3 n# E) a3 \• Supporting in the overall development of programs and activities that benefit our community and our children;7 n+ c/ M) w4 ]; |7 @6 s! R
• Maintaining and evaluating program outcomes;+ P9 X: s0 e9 f9 {/ {5 K- |3 ]: w
• Spearheading the further develop our social enterprise;

( B( f* W M# e2 j7 u8 FProgram Duties and Responsibilities include: % O) p4 }4 R9 o: x" U) a/ N
• Maintaining comprehensive and objective contact notes related to child or conversations with others about child;
; e) M2 p# y, F1 E4 K4 K• Maintaining confidentiality related to all participant information;% U: Y2 {- g2 m$ R9 h
• Liaising and/or advocate with school personnel, parent/guardian, and child, as required;3 N8 X3 m9 E4 j5 {: i U3 N
• Creatively planning, organizing, and evaluating small group and one-to-one activities
* y. }; W5 Q6 o• Participating in establishing achievable program outcomes and employ group strategies and activities to achieve the same;
9 K3 y$ P' f* \& I5 P, r( q3 ]• Meeting with participants on a one-to-one basis to help them achieve success with their goals;9 X5 u# G' z6 `7 d9 x# g
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with children in groups;* y% x+ S8 H' l# j3 S
• Participating in the planning and implementation of family activities for participants & families;- s+ M6 u1 ~5 f; g K# E' i
# h1 H5 Z H. Y) SQualifications:& ^/ n( B& f d" K) w9 W4 Y
• Degree in communications, human services or related field;: i; O1 P2 }, H$ o
• Extensive knowledge of the not for profit or voluntary sector;* T( {) J; k* E5 R
• Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations;
& D7 u# X+ M- A, u8 v• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing funding proposals and reports a must;
; [; ~- {8 w9 C4 `6 _- S2 q' Q) C• The abilities to multi-task, creatively problem solve, communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and build relationships are critical.
, p9 g4 W# v" |• Extensive experience in group facilitation and working with children;
3 x) T- z) f1 C# |$ a/ |0 } N, F• Current certificates in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Suicide Intervention, Standard First Aid and CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are preferred;' x0 E8 U9 c+ H: \; @
• Clear CYIM, Security Clearance, and Driver’s Abstract;3 ~4 L u8 Q: e+ f7 e. {
• Current valid drivers license;$ h3 \, G& P" ^, d& F
• Knowledge of and comfort with the implementation of behavioural intervention strategies;
( o, ?7 ]: W# t: ^• Conflict resolution skills;
