Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker% V$ V. k9 A2 ^- [8 `
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
$ Y7 G" }+ a0 }! a8 d. O! s• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person; N) y9 h! b& G! Y0 u. [
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST* [+ e9 ~: v( s: l" ]5 o* a4 c9 l, h
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
+ C" L! o1 o; f• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
6 z; g2 `( y" ~& P7 X8 y• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents; Q e. f4 `4 u; o3 }/ F6 M
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
6 y8 R/ V8 C0 K/ ]+ r• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
( S R U& O2 D: V7 k: z- `. ^) j• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events* I' X! l' ~7 o' p4 }
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
: n( {: H3 a6 y' R' K• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
9 T0 b( T/ t7 r7 r2 k• Good English writing and oral communication skills: G2 ]' @ [) y. ?4 t
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients& F4 I+ U. T* `" x6 ?8 z
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment6 H7 @0 O! b; k! b5 W& H
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
