Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ; R: d' Q! • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person% G& e6 ]; R& {
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; g1 m D" i- O& c/ b) g8 d
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ T- w" [. ~3 B) ? K# c* U
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 V; X. P! z( B; |5 G9 Z• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# S% \/ \( ^) U2 c
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
! V. I2 n# l- U# N- ] u+ \ A• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events2 w+ B, ^8 `' A9 ]) v7 O* {
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

; }1 @" u5 J5 |/ t8 L6 ]: N• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters9 v" \+ ~- Z5 a% W
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:! o7 d& P% [0 D- H" }6 J6 r
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
+ k% B# O8 `7 h D% e2 q• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset7 F. Z/ s2 {$ _6 t a) r9 G
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
7 w- w" q4 x# a9 h• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients, I: y7 p1 y# g( ^! f3 p
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 F w& q" h' x+ ~$ S/ v* {! x l5 D
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately L* i$ S O" R" C5 R1 g3 F* m
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience + ?& g) S8 l- K, G* s- z# M% u9 @5 z
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment8 k& [8 k8 Z9 L. q
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
