Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
) d, u [! b& c• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
o B- L# e7 u% h• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST& ?4 o8 x) b2 w* O" h- y: F
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
3 e! V/ l) i( y, Q; e$ D) T• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
: \$ W+ L7 Q4 Q- e) o• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ w% y3 J: Q( t) s/ T) ?
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker+ x. ^1 w) S$ Z+ L0 |! u1 C
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
, ]) U& _3 i( i8 o: s• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
; b& D8 ^& R# C! f• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
6 z3 _" H; v7 J/ Z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset D; k% v n, q# ?6 i
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
$ F7 X% q: G% U8 M• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients' S+ f) d+ n9 n% D
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ ?' K6 s* i" t C% {
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately . X# u% D2 e7 f; j
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
) x6 [7 { e$ ~2 Z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
. X/ L$ k1 `" ^' X, X/ B5 f1 X• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
5 I$ U" X3 D/ L( N4 g) l! Y• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
) R1 Q. t; v6 c @5 G+ ]• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
