Fishery restriction on Red Deer River and tributaries

8 u- Y' `" i2 v  u% `4 t8 r8 qThis email is to inform anglers that starting August 7,  2012, fishing upstream of Dickson Dam on the Red Deer River and its tributaries will be restricted to catch-and-release only for the remainder of the season.
+ L$ w; v' l" l0 O5 _9 R( P
( r0 Y  a) W* t7 I" D/ M  c2 S$ B0 k$ xA zero harvest restriction is in place as a precautionary measure, as government experts will be conducting a population sampling program to determine if there were any impacts to fish stocks in the waterways as a result of a pipeline spill in early June.

Anglers will not be allowed to harvest fish upstream of the Dickson Dam, including Gleniffer Reservoir and Dickson Trout Pond. The area includes the main-stem of the Red Deer River from Gleniffer Lake to the Banff National Park boundary, and all flowing tributary waters.

Angler harvest in the affected area is still permitted in Burnstick Lake and in the following stocked trout lakes and ponds:

7 C  w5 H* ?! s5 Q4 ]' X• Dormer Lake,
0 m& Y! U& O7 i• Eagle Lake,
• Birch Lake, and
6 K  L# M# c4 j8 g* x% ^; W6 [• Yellowhead Lake.

Specific regulations still apply, which can be found in the Alberta 2012 Sportfishing Regulations.

前两天的新闻说哪个湖里很多死鱼，有人在那里游泳都感染了

这是我们今天早上去那里拍的照片，似乎是管道漏油引起的，河里有几处隔离带。

又见炊烟

旁边这个湖以前钓鱼的人很多，我们5约和6月去了两次，钓了不少鱼，湖里有一个渔证5条限额的彩虹鱼，还有没有限额的草鱼。受附近环境污染的影响，这湖从8约7号开始只能钓到鱼就放掉了，严禁拿任何鱼。
