According to the Oxford Dictionary, both fish and fishes can be used as the plural form, but fish is more common. $ ~2 q. ?4 U+ W! a0 b$ E$ @ 0 e+ Z: v8 s4 GWe use fishes when talking about different types of fish. For example, I caught five fish today and they were different fishes. 2 q( L+ J* [) X: R! d7 F$ g5 y7 O* a; F& l
Fish is uncountable when we talk about the meat of fish. For instance, I want to have fish for supper.
