Key Responsibilities are as follows:
/ b% u" N" { {% y E. q; O* F/ N•This position is accountable for the effective development, delivery and evaluation of Integrated Service Program funded by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services 9 ~0 D% x9 ^) J, U( @# ]
•Specific accountabilities include analyzing and defining community needs, assisting in the development of new initiatives and overall strategy, participation in community and/or industry advocacy and social action processes, project management, recruitment, leadership and performance appraisal of a team of up to 10 para-professionals and/or volunteers, program priority setting, maintenance of appropriate reporting, development and management of program budget, preparation of report submissions to funding or regulatory bodies
8 D4 j1 i' P9 t$ ]7 y•Required skills include: understanding of client needs and appropriate interventions, program implementation and evaluation, creativity and ongoing program development, leadership and co-ordination of service provision and administrative functions, participation in budget development and monitoring, staff recruiting, supervision, development and evaluation, client case management, program data collection, data and narrative reporting0 g/ n4 \4 l m. l# {% n: B* Z
•Responsibilities include relationship management with CIC, AHS and other organizations; community development planning and activities; participation in and leadership of agency-wide projects.# n& \0 p" P5 r0 O
•Coordination with other program coordinators in LINC, ECALA, family, youth and senior programs is essential' X. t6 h+ c% }: [; V6 H! J% e8 A) f4 _

" m1 F. [1 } H1 _! \& D•University degree or diploma in a related field or extensive related experience ;
* z# i. g+ L# ~6 U" b•Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit/voluntary organization;
2 p! |' T+ C' t2 q; i•Knowledge of settlement/cross-cultural processes, human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
. |# n4 W" A& f9 T# a; B•Two or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization or demonstrated potential ; L: H% Q5 a3 G" Q4 m& Q
•Fluent in English, knowledge of another language is preferred but not mandatory.
