Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would
9 I5 M# z% X& ?* Y6 d5 o, @like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups 7 q( f3 n+ N6 m: L& t$ j( f
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
% H/ i3 z* f( hattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of 3 F* _3 x. H4 m0 q4 e: \
information that will make your transition to the University community / n# l' c# g. M- i# J7 F2 I
more successful.

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds z' N6 t" D/ _0 d2 v
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
, G$ Q" _, b: p: \6 |look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
6 |- y8 ]* p6 W, _' z8 pof directional information., ?/ ^# s2 {/ ]' Z

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
( ?4 u" ?7 S* _! }9 H4 eactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
& C% O$ ~9 N0 N( j$ m* W3 Ya variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
& W/ {# W3 c5 W3 z0 Revening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
& X/ r; m' [$ @6 AHawrelak Park.1 B6 X0 a" j0 Y0 z1 s
7 g3 I& J9 o& t
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on - i" P B8 Y+ r/ x- N1 u8 ]
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, ) n. x, R5 f8 g6 E* d
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.
* v9 Z9 _" P9 x% M( e& g. O _
6 R$ x7 e# c' t% L8 K( s3 T* tBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you : p; J, E' w, i0 H; Q: F" ]
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
1 S; q# o8 x r) gyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
" E. ~- L1 K: |$ j; Z' D6 Y' YONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
& S; V2 a1 u% A8 W, i, C) uyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece ( z3 h2 ~8 C0 g0 ]5 {
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus * Y5 L" H+ o& \
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
( O: x8 M- V' m v( sInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and + w, D2 K% m% u U6 e
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the , ~1 Q" \3 X: B5 S4 S3 l# Z- m
two days of Orientation).
