买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

- e8 ~3 H9 l3 cYou can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:* a& l5 f  m, _! A
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
  p# e1 {( x( H" b' c9 O! c3 s•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
( a8 I4 d9 \6 u  I) ?So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。
