买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:: @; e- K0 {# x6 l7 x
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and2 R0 J; f. m* @. c3 }2 A1 L0 _
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
+ R6 |# a6 V4 q. gSo the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.

& T% Q; F5 k6 R! f2 EWhen more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
