Edmonton home builders say they are working non-stop to meet a demand they haven’t seen since the boom of 2005.6 s- Y6 V. P& {# R
2 H+ c7 I# E. _) M/ t1 oBuilders started construction on 468 new single detached homes last month, a 34 per cent increase from August 2013.7 j5 Y N% ]2 h3 p
. R# r/ \+ J% Q“Right now we're running flat out, we’re building as much as we can,” said Rob Busby, construction manager for Landmark Homes.7 N" A; \0 I n9 j* ?

“If you look at the number of people who are moving into Edmonton, it’s record high levels so that’s contributing to that expanding demand,” she said.
