* n+ F+ }% e M2 Y1 sThe Alberta Tories continue to slide, while the NDP surges and the Wildrose maintains the lead, according to the latest election poll released Tuesday morning.
6 G$ M; ^+ y8 c9 s! U/ y& v( F+ K. g; {% Y
The NDP is dominating Edmonton at 51%, according to the survey, and is in a three-way race in Calgary.

0 I( S- M8 [" l' b: rThe telephone poll of 3,121 Albertans conducted Monday showed that compared to a week earlier: ^- d7 ?3 ^' z% X( L
6 ^5 p; t& ~' f# m2 t7 Y( ~Wildrose is flat with 24% support& A; w! G' }) a/ k; Y& W
NDP increased to 23% support, up 3%, G4 E* ?" j5 j8 S
The PCs dropped to 18%, down 3%
8 c$ T. g0 v' e4 z* x, Z1 QLiberal support is down a point, to 8%
* X7 O& s A: N, a8 F% e+ ZThe Alberta Party is up a point to 3%4 `8 g9 A; Z5 b) U. ~! s) x8 H
The survey was conducted by Mainstreet Technologies. K( _/ K" l. R; h; g! y4 D4 N |% R
. }! O% S0 g. Q+ K4 x“One thing is becoming clear at this stage of the campaign, the effect of the budget and residual anger to the governing PCs will have a lasting impact on the outcome of this election,” said Mainstreet’s Quito Maggi.

1 b( S9 X' ]% u; ?+ i( f2 c( R' ], PHe said the election could turn into a two-way race between the NDP and Wildrose, leaving the possibility Tories shift votes to the Wildrose, or vice versa, to stifle NDP momentum.

It’s a three-way race in Calgary (WR 29%, PC 27%, NDP 25%).
