- j1 g! q5 e. b( m$ n　　A hundred leagues locked in ice,

　　A thousand leagues of whirling snow.

　　Both sides of the Great Wall

# N+ U& @; Q% |5 _. ]$ I# e2 m　　One single white immensity.

2 B2 \2 p$ i  B　　The Yellow River"s swift current
" l- B, F3 @* b5 V! v8 P
# B- t; Z; J# W4 [( E　　Is stilled from end to end.
1 I$ E/ i$ E8 Z. x. y3 [
6 r7 Y) {$ H6 z1 @( j/ }　　The mountains dance like silver snakes
2 ?3 v( ^2 k0 c* I3 Z
$ E3 g9 K8 R' r. n6 M3 W) e　　And the highlands* charge like wax-hued elephants,

　　Vying with heaven in stature.
# N# W5 M4 Z! Z/ [% Z3 C$ ~
+ T3 L9 G) X9 B　　On a fine day, the land,
& Y2 a+ R6 d8 @5 i3 K. \8 r
2 l" B3 f$ I2 v; Z1 q+ C1 M　　Clad in white, adorned in red,
" T* t& l/ y; B5 M3 ~
　　Grows more enchanting.
, B* F) Y5 }$ b6 j! f6 y3 R
　　This land so rich in beauty
8 q/ i$ b2 i0 r. \) h* v: k+ ~0 ]; H
6 L2 Q' i4 t3 u+ H6 E1 j　　Has made countless heroes bow in homage.

5 d- O0 y* l- r5 s. o; C　　But alas! Chin Shih-huang and Han Wu-ti

　　Were lacking in literary grace,

　　And Tang Tai-tsung and Sung Tai-tsu

　　Had little poetry in their souls;
9 G1 S! i8 R9 ]( S% I, g: G1 T　　And Genghis Khan,
3 Q. Z- Q- P; N4 `( |0 V! {
7 {3 u$ e! |; B, R4 M+ `2 p　　Proud Son of Heaven for a day,
7 ?2 p1 M- a6 H, M3 v0 j6 [4 p+ `
　　Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched

3 b* ^# h4 E5 r　　All are past and gone!

1 F( p; |5 e  D( Y& T% ?9 |# [0 }  ^　　For truly great men

　　江山如此多妖 引无数英雄竞折腰 惜秦皇汉武 略输文采

　　唐宗宋祖 稍逊风骚 一代天骄 成吉思汗 只识弯弓射大雕
