We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration. I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.

( F8 r9 H. [( [9 B C6 q We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:: J* G3 d7 I" l6 I, B* e
8 F5 m: H7 A( O1 T6 jOption 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet. 4 Q& a/ M2 r. O7 U, Z
No on site child care available.
X% O6 b5 t# r; A$ {9 M6 C+ T
7 g; j6 ~) G0 E7 Y IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.

Option 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.
) M! U# h e4 x# i Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements.
