Magrath/ MacTaggart Kindergarten afternoon care needed

, y7 C" ~2 L8 }1 _* D% D0 h1 L" P, p* [ We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration.  I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.

To kick it off, here are my two cents.

% c% u& z* R, U+ _$ u! {( w We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:

1 T1 @, {, O* _. T0 i# ?/ hOption 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet.
/ d. |! }1 u: L3 u7 T0 `5 M; M No on site child care available.

IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.

9 \9 h' i6 H6 cOption 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.
Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements.
