We are currently seeking detail oriented person based in Edmonton to fill the role of Junior Accountant.

POSITION: Junior Accountant

DUTIES:
) ~) |, t: c ^8 b6 G0 Z( w! Q+ r3 x7 Z4 u' v6 o* c* z3 k
• Answering to the Company Controller, the candidate will assist with invoicing, payables, cash receipts and disbursements, account reconciliation, and G/L entries.
0 I2 t& p N8 s9 j1 S• Candidate will also be responsible for filing, verifying vendor invoices, and various reporting tasks as required.
# C8 z% j6 {" `0 D8 h4 ]' y$ A9 I; ]• Candidate will communicate between various departments, including sales, logistics and production to ensure that operations are running as cost-effectively as possible

% A% v5 y% e0 g/ X; U$ N5 l• Minimum 1-year of experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable/Payable role
* T) u( C. b1 j( ^' N7 X• Post-secondary degree or diploma in an Accounting or Finance related field of study v5 ? T4 r; y! \& O9 I
• Aggressive self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills% N% o1 {+ i8 d5 ]# d3 c/ k6 @. i; U
• Must be highly detail oriented with strong grasp of numbers/ f. L; K" C% U" _9 B5 G
• Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, data entry)
