/ U5 J/ n* ?! F5 TThe Liberals’ first federal budget was released earlier this week, and in it $570-million dollars was allocated for Canada’s tourism sector.: Z$ E5 x# x4 i a# ~( t
& R4 I0 b4 H8 j0 P7 A: _Royce Chwin, the CEO of Travel Alberta, tells the Alberta Morning News how some of that money will be spent right here in Alberta.

“$83.3-million, in terms of free admission for national parks, so that of course will apply here in Banff and Jasper as an example. It also looks like there’s an investment of about $66-million for new biking and walking trail within Jasper National Park.”1 w8 E. S7 H7 ?" z, z+ t8 K# v

Chwin adds that with the low Canadian dollar he expects we’ll see more Albertan’s traveling within our borders, rather than heading to the States.: Y% B4 F, h. B& r, G% n1 m$ V- l

That’s going to show a number of itineraries and road trips throughout the province. In 2017 all national parks in Canada will be free, to celebrate our nation’s 150th birthday.
