2 Q, ?# E  u2 @7 l0 BPlan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
: A  ], t. \  }/ l5 t" o7 r- VEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
; P- d9 d: W5 e1 IRecruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
) R# z. t! o  D. MComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
. z6 p6 D) z9 X3 ~) u" d  fKeep time and payroll records
. N; y, S* x: h( m! U1 g$ [Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Proven working experience as a head chef
# ?; F0 P3 A! ?) T0 EExcellent record of kitchen management
1 E8 t% C" A& f6 {2 p, `Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
" W9 x' p# x- z* tCapable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
