+ G2 |1 [4 p' H/ k. J# }2 Q+ dPlan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
; ^+ e/ K5 q+ L+ p) Z& IEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
: s3 n/ Z% j/ y9 fPerform administrative duties
2 w6 t$ B' c/ b) qComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Excellent record of kitchen management

# J' ^2 v* Z3 bCommunication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
8 D4 I2 K; R! e2 nWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
