' q3 X# k/ F& p0 p$ l* bPlan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  Q2 h2 s9 r9 S9 bModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
, `0 j8 z9 _4 N; t6 z' vEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
( l& S# x: u6 ~/ XSupervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
% {1 D: s  K1 ~Rectify arising problems or complaints
+ v: ^0 C  Y, V6 P' T, G* `Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
0 F& R( R  o' N5 Q1 v* e; s7 mMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Proven working experience as a head chef
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
& F/ w# _- Q* \+ ~# |Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
