POSITION HOURS: 8AM – 5PM

LOCATION: EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA
DURATION: CONTRACT OR PERMANENT
SALARY RANGE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience, but overall compensation will be results-based and goal-oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
% C9 }  w9 X/ |9 c; F8 ~/ b# Z• Provide tier 2-3 support for network issues for technologies such as but not limited to:
/ i% a' {/ q# i3 C2 \; Y   o Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003
   o Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003
   o Microsoft SQL Server 7, 2000
   o Microsoft SMS 2, 2003

   o VMWare Virtual Server solutions
0 @+ m8 V( A$ p0 u* u% A   o Linux based operating systems
! Z2 j$ d6 N% U+ g2 O   o Sun Solaris operating systems
   o Advanced level and hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS, VoIP, and security knowledge and configuration experience
! _# S& E2 A. G7 D- _: F• Provide network solutions and recommendations to customer inquires regarding Anti-Virus, Email & Collaboration, Network Security, Migration Strategy, Disaster Recovery…etc.
• Proper and detailed documentation of all support and project related calls
0 c9 U: {8 q& F  A6 d) f9 Q1 d# {• Administration, architecting, and technical support experience on the Microsoft Windows
platform, Microsoft Exchange 5.5 – 2003 platform, Citrix Metaframe platform, Microsoft
+ G  _7 }, U/ A3 eSMS platform, Microsoft IIS platform, Microsoft DNS and Microsoft Active Directory…etc.
& @9 t2 _, I+ h; @6 d• Advanced Cisco routing and switching and/or firewall configurations

" e) J0 I0 M0 n: t  qSKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
• 5 – 8 years hands-on IT experience
• Excellent written and verbal skills
: I5 u1 N' W! l' m• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent organization skills with detail AND accuracy
! _* v, n* ~  u1 {% Q• Excellent documentation skills with detail AND accuracy
• Certification should include some or all of the following:
   o Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
" s0 S% w! c2 [   o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
# L: @0 \# q! |+ ?$ g  D   o Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional (CCIP)
   o Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
0 H- Y7 u2 H$ _/ P   o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows 2000 or Windows 2003)
3 S/ V' @# [2 v! Z. R7 ~3 Y8 D   o Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA)
   o Any other professional certification designations are a bonus
8 W+ e' w( G7 j3 Q7 R' w• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple medium sized projects
/ V: C8 q3 s, E• Ability to understand and deliver high quality customer service
4 d9 s* t1 S$ t* `/ w, ?• Advanced TCP/IP and internetworking protocol knowledge
# j) d! S1 P4 C  ^$ O% X• Experience in IT operations and an actively contributing team member in project based work
$ q4 @+ ~  g* X* c• Advanced technical and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows-based migration projects in 800-1500 seat size of multiple domain, sites, and active directory.
! k) N4 c" U- H4 ~& V• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, DFS, Windows Security, Virtual Server, SharePoint Server, Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, and 2005
& F5 r" @' P9 E. U0 X/ ]6 Y• Have 4+ years of network design experience
• Have led medium to large sized projects
) k4 _+ W5 B( |$ }• A valid Alberta driver’s license is mandatory
