世界学者杯是由耶鲁大学耶鲁国际关系协会主办的，汇集了世界顶尖大学之一的“世界学者杯，目前已经举办了十一次，本年度为“第十二届年度冠军赛”，将于11月16日至21日在耶鲁大学举行，每年来自世界五十多个国家和地区的3500名选手参与其中。

世界学者杯的宗旨是鼓励世界各国的学生们发掘新的优势并练习新技能，启发和创造未来全球学者和领袖。目的是创造一些与传统学术竞赛和会议不同的东西，让学生们充分享受学习的乐趣，鼓励学生不仅展示他们现有才华而且丰富他们的新优势和潜能，为最后以团队为主体进入国际锦标赛，在轻松愉快的环境中与全世界的选手交流。
