Sun Life to retire Clarica name

Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
* P3 M0 e+ y/ A" JThere are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.7 q/ n; N/ B' @3 @' i j# w e
) M" L% d6 D" V* t7 S6 cThe company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.1 b# [( L5 n9 h, r$ V# l
