The procurement officer is responsible for:" s" I+ {! \# m2 r
- Identifying and serving the needs of each business department9 y6 X/ C6 x: r
- Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
5 i) I8 n2 h5 y; x0 i' U/ f( m- Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts4 `4 B+ n9 k" j$ X A
- Building and managing supplier relationships, ?7 D; ^. E7 d! c$ x
- Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses( [' M8 ]; E/ U; q2 `/ w
/ ?1 o, i: Z+ U- C1 t/ b
Requirements:
$ E7 u) C0 N! |: I9 @, |- Sound research skills
1 y2 x! H! |7 X5 l& |$ ^- Excellent communication and negotiation skills : ^% s' |; ^! G7 V
- Strong organization and time management skills
2 P: R1 { P. B, h# I$ k- Friendly and outgoing personality 7 T u9 x/ Y" o/ z
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook # Y0 w2 G- Y5 z, E
- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred " ~& {6 a6 r$ S4 S- L C- k7 t
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset + w; a/ J; q4 R4 B- r- q
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
