CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

& E& Q5 L4 I2 G& z0 b4 `! x- R· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
+ B: i4 R" @, _1 U5 l& L1 ~3 r
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

$ z7 s$ n( t. g! W· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
/ @2 a/ H6 e( y$ }
9 j! H! c$ o( T% ~' `& A, F· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

5 h; h/ t( [& x) G, b· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
, h) J# t7 H2 J; [: b" \, `- Y
2 d8 j" V8 V; W5 f: J/ A6 N· Minimum 3 years experience

. c. `3 |' ?: I3 A· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

; d0 b+ p! D$ ]! p4 n' f8 N0 _) R· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

' M' P. t/ E6 G4 V( s$ v' F) _· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
