CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

+ d) B8 a5 [, K( L· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
0 n2 R( P: n" G, v
* c; P6 Q& j* B; ?, l+ ?· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
2 E; g" S+ K! o& i$ R
+ K' N2 P# I; w/ v$ ?0 ]· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

+ Y: N, g! V. u" R" U3 u- ?+ z# `· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

% {5 N% f3 N# a' y) @$ }· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

% M" C5 D" [/ I* H6 A+ ^$ s3 N· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

, h% s8 H2 h3 |+ g; f+ C1 T· Minimum 3 years experience
: M% a  O3 |6 c# Q/ H0 \
" `6 E& q- H: [3 M; C- r· Valid Class 1 license
/ P% W! i9 o- {' C; k: w" N0 Z
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

. z  x8 ~. w% D· Load securement certification
: |* L" J0 D0 W4 A8 n8 x2 g
. i' b5 ]& o7 `+ T9 W* n6 h· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

& T) C: a  ~, N& N1 i· Excellent organizational and time management skills

0 ~: q9 ]- ?5 U+ W$ j! Z6 l· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
