Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week) - r$ \, e7 A+ f- B# v
Employment Tenure: Part-time/Causal (approximately 12 hours per week). The incumbent’s $ D. `, j& M3 o- I3 ^
schedule should be reasonably flexible.

[: d& _. k" q# v( pStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
! T) E5 X3 y7 Pweekend hours.
2 c* [8 n# G% G& P( ]% ?/ b8 VYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
) [( `* q, z* K1 xlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the! U' F( b% Y8 c5 R n0 E0 f) q
centre.: c* _! w1 H- V
These responsibilities include:
( }1 X, t: Y3 F-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
8 Q' [2 r% E# O-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
6 J4 I/ Z& n; Z-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and7 t! D0 H1 P+ c M G( h
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
; T* _( q+ `7 Ffacilities’ maintenance, etc.
( k) _+ g$ q1 v3 y. _* H i7 ]-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ; o, [+ q5 g: d; U6 ?8 G8 s7 [
clients’ files etc. - S7 S6 V2 f' h0 m

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 9 m/ s+ J v; U( d; F
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination $ h0 g0 q$ G& v5 d" Q
of education, training and /or experience.
; T# q. o# \' @Knowledge/Technical competencies:
q) E. G( o4 Z. K b-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.' _ x+ }5 R, G2 | e S: w
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
' m5 B9 F2 J; tand Excel. ) T7 ^+ ]! T: N/ p$ |1 p3 u
-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
