8 y# q( s0 X' @0 ?Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and5 U1 x5 f! w3 L! s
weekend hours.
; @$ g/ {' N+ c! {, s0 ~You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer& g6 e9 j: @: F# G: _% S. v
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the* j0 N0 x5 }* a3 i$ m/ h+ v2 |
centre.
% u9 ~! l7 I# r& ?These responsibilities include:
5 Z1 ]: N7 j3 X1 Y3 e' H- [-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.8 ?) R) e2 P4 B& v
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
; n) S i8 t- b! K4 G- S-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
6 j1 Z9 E8 a5 r/ t( M" l4 R" Krenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
9 Q+ Y3 I' G. e; {# Ofacilities’ maintenance, etc.
* Z$ I+ P# C' a" ]% s* ~-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

6 O% g& V$ L" y7 z4 @! g-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, / |; g9 Y) J2 A4 Y9 W
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
) O! f7 r# k' D- k+ sof education, training and /or experience.
" Y4 W. h- p+ B8 c6 V1 |2 ?6 e2 xKnowledge/Technical competencies:
2 G3 z2 I8 }$ T, X/ K/ E7 k8 e-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
) n2 s+ L4 z; p8 g-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word2 E" D; Q# {( C. J$ s v
and Excel.
6 z+ ^! Z" ~9 n5 d' T4 ~3 r) [" ]-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
