Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and" M Q3 w3 t* Q4 `% V9 `' \* M
weekend hours.
6 _& ~! b- C; Y6 mYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer; o" z* y7 `8 h$ Y Z4 w# K2 O$ v% y+ c
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
* [7 a) Z/ b5 H1 I# `% Lcentre.
3 P7 s/ T2 X9 `$ a! p& kThese responsibilities include:
9 d2 Y' _( C' [! s) n-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
/ m0 x1 n6 @* c-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.$ h( |+ R/ v- ~
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and3 V1 s3 G" I4 G9 {9 i2 C- R
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to 0 {& o3 c. V# N+ q& k
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
$ n6 t6 k Q+ J6 H' ~-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic + P8 g6 y- R3 A
clients’ files etc.

. h" ~7 W" L0 i' V, D-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, : ]6 U2 Q+ g. M! m( f9 }8 ]+ g
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
7 c, K+ {. R- T' u: rof education, training and /or experience.
: B+ G, {% j* D0 n; d- w8 q& K# tKnowledge/Technical competencies:
0 _& H+ L$ i7 n( ~/ u-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
2 s0 k$ D; O! L7 I; w( k-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word

-Experience using and updating an information database. 5 K) v" Q" q: x$ h: v/ e

Assets:
