Non-ferrous Laborer

Job Summary:
5 v2 B; B9 t3 UThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

# X O3 I1 o* G' H! |Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
{' J1 X! q2 [" U. K' U* X8 \9 [Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
* F! Z$ F8 h! l9 J# NLoads and unloads non-ferrous material# _- a% }% d" v7 {. x0 g! g. O
Must be able to work safely at all times
1 a% P1 ]8 ?& n6 I zBe able to effectively perform tasks independently( [; e5 z8 F ?* ~
Performs routine housekeeping.
/ P! f& G& [, I; tObserves and reports any safety issues" C. a/ v+ T' p0 ^* c2 c+ Q& N" L

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset
8 C( l: T+ p7 qExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
& J2 C2 ]/ \# @Knowledge of non-ferrous processing" [: q/ `$ T$ u
High school diploma (Or GED)
- x( `3 u: d% A0 h2 J" [Well-articulated and assertive8 b; X7 R2 _2 @0 U& v h
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization" s5 k; L+ [, l; s' u# \7 j4 F
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Mechanically inclined an asset
