Non-ferrous Laborer
CAC Metal Recycling

Job Summary:
The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Schedule:

Job Responsibilities:

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
$ i6 q) X" P/ Z6 ~$ }9 cLoads and unloads non-ferrous material
6 s% X, u2 r( N' ~8 V0 V: t) qMust be able to work safely at all times
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
Performs routine housekeeping.
Observes and reports any safety issues

Job Qualifications:

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Mechanically inclined an asset
Computer literate

5 E' }% I. r2 m; j) @3 k4 R哈哈，不用感觉，就是干垃圾场金属分类这种活。我以前暑假工在垃圾场干过一个月左右的分类工作，没到开学就跑了。环境脏乱差，工作又苦又累，说真的，还不如去超市或者快餐店打工

7 A! {3 S1 o& V+ V我理解的垃圾场分类是一个传输带上放生活垃圾，然后在传送带上人力把可以回收的东西捡出来分类。跟我们这个金属回收性质不一样。我们只是做有色金属回收，不存在垃圾。客人拿着铜啊 铝啊 不锈钢之类的按每磅多少钱卖给我们。
今年开始我们的回收也针对公众哦。另外，家里坏了的/不要的冰箱微波炉也可以拿来卖的,统称white goods, 这个是按吨给钱的。

金属回收属于Waste Management一个内容，但是手动挑金属垃圾更像是residential，跟我们性质不同。我们更多是针对industrial和commercial。有色金属按磅给钱，各自价格不同，所以客人来卖可回收的不锈钢，铜，铝，镍等都是分好了拿过来卖的。

( v8 Z0 Z0 }: A- U9 R) o' n) k唉，您留学打工真是辛苦了。我留学也一样，第一年夏天干快餐，第二年夏天给叫兽打工，第三年就找到专业对口实习毕业工作到现在了。
