Job Summary:
9 U5 E9 N$ Y- @4 l) c, _0 ~The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials$ Z$ I& @/ s3 i" w9 ~; I
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
' t# ?( u$ K3 U1 ^Loads and unloads non-ferrous material0 a7 }, @8 a* P' D- W
Must be able to work safely at all times: r _5 [8 q- @4 `
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
* ?7 T/ O: C1 nPerforms routine housekeeping.
$ }: [) o" P; F9 ^' {; D bObserves and reports any safety issues) P- R% O1 ~! C/ U

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset: v+ W& A7 O. m1 f, x0 X
Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
: u9 l: q9 s2 X6 B' n1 r# S9 o nKnowledge of non-ferrous processing) P& ?! F3 L1 Y& X: g
High school diploma (Or GED)
/ }; J4 i2 ^" B: t# G8 u5 H1 vWell-articulated and assertive
5 B, P0 B8 z! \+ n3 ^Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization' e; z2 J- A" y/ q! p
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
