Job Summary:
. |$ O8 T% i% dThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials X( M; m0 \4 K
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
/ _& H! ^" h' D' g( c9 b7 p KMust be able to work safely at all times( i0 U H8 c1 \/ O) t
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently, @) s. F1 V; i. q1 c7 U
Performs routine housekeeping.* m1 f7 ]) y. P* I
Observes and reports any safety issues/ Z; U# g8 h7 ^9 Z; s `

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
% ~" I5 o! u8 s) cKnowledge of non-ferrous processing" F5 H" k) H. ?& {4 h2 B
High school diploma (Or GED)

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
