Job Summary:
9 x: O# o/ J$ b& Y' m- N" S9 K* m' }The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.* D. Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials* k4 z- j6 L5 L& m6 h1 \
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials* Y* e7 |! P2 u
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
+ V4 |9 G: y5 s6 hMust be able to work safely at all times8 j5 u* t/ U. K! g( P, b+ o6 T
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
$ J. S2 F! e, m) ^$ p/ C% M8 a; xPerforms routine housekeeping.
& R5 M. a9 |' F) A" J1 KObserves and reports any safety issues+ s( J5 E& F: o" u
Other duties may be assigned

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

$ r$ p F/ n) c8 V/ MExperience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
2 g% u) w3 b8 rKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
& O) J2 [7 P& u7 K7 z$ u( gHigh school diploma (Or GED): b0 P8 P, I O0 S0 ~
Well-articulated and assertive
8 J: W# e0 z& [* [) I% T( `Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
& H, |. V# v1 E- KAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
