The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
9 s- H& u' K* S* t* E" v  h2 `
Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
7 z% E; J( c& `  u, z: L& Einclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.
2 K2 s( s. u: ?- h% e4 M6 K
( `# n3 R3 y0 B" J6 iQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
