recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
9195.

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

5 R" F9 o8 e+ m6 X. ZDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
% E8 H  ?$ o* {for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
! G: h+ N+ K. l/ O2 }! j8 a% Finclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
: Z  D7 v$ `! V* g+ R! M& r4 acompounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
( F" S4 {5 g$ b" I9 @6 N( G8 VChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
# ^% u& |7 n  H" a6 i! oof a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
