Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30

the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the% M) J) \, ^9 S- [& b3 D

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at9 g+ N& R5 q# U
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus" A5 ~& Q1 n Z9 S1 P
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,+ G+ Q6 S. h& u! J/ k
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
1 G# n7 J, t, ~5 x$ W. }& K& nparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
. h. _/ R' D& l6 g! s3 ]their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during( O5 B! `" u( E* r& ]8 E- f
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
+ N! l5 c# O) }+ ~! v1 C8 Bassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
. _6 V/ Q+ z, T% q, _8 J/ V6 G: ovenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city- D$ J7 l2 G$ F
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
1 {5 n' |/ u! Q! aexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night4 U8 A- W+ @: o9 i- J9 D/ j
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or& p4 s2 |& i* q
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
% d t& \$ W$ d7 L ]such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint: d/ d4 M) T( g

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
" u6 t; D6 e- \; M9 iCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate, q e u: n1 R3 g
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
3 U% l7 z {% _! o Y2 t @demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake/ w- `" g7 G7 d( v" {" `: s: J% b
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
5 A2 X+ M1 c2 q- Y3 Dof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
! Y. b' b7 f! l5 sskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
( n2 M* u4 f. ]1 A5 R% c4 dExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,4 ?& {8 i4 ^" }8 q F5 r6 }0 @
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
