Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
& g) A! E% u, _! h+ k9 u, p3 |1 q8 }pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
5 T0 g, p6 E" F, T6 U5 V- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
" T. l4 W6 y1 w6 S/ v* ]' Mthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

3 E5 r) S$ U4 O- b7 Y# \Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
; y/ ~: @8 y- Aetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
: W+ R5 B" `, P+ P5 d) Ztheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
; x# R, e& f3 Bexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
  s$ R) ?0 D6 ]7 U. S; yfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
' e1 h! c+ \) G; k( D# D7 Zsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

# a! u) W+ w; f8 D" \4 WQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
5 X( L$ e; d. v; p5 MCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
% q6 }* ^, `0 i% T! \9 V, H2 Cdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
) s  E) [% @  C) ^) Ha variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
6 j9 z# v# E* {7 U) {Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
