Thursdays

) R; D0 v& k# D' |JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
& N0 s! g  \: b( s' ^carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

$ E( P+ q5 q7 V  c+ @7 c2 D
- E. [" r7 B) y8 {0 i* ~: WDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
! f$ y/ L5 ?7 xorders.
. V5 Q# s% a7 |3 k3 W
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
; _" ^8 C1 f2 _7 m$ T( }
% I2 R2 L3 n- F3 p5 }: k3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
" T2 B6 V7 K' n4 z! z+ _3 s0 e. etotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

0 y& a) N+ Z5 I5 w4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
% i* P; L- p: G! Jincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

; _7 a4 }& ^$ r5 a7 `2 c0 j8 [5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
) q, Y/ P" M- Baction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
% J! O; ]5 j' ?( @: M2 Tintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
) E2 b! Z1 A8 L6 ?6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
: G' E3 y# u% l5 Z  EAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

; t* x  g5 y5 o+ R* k( W4 u6 oManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
( Y) T! Q; V$ e& Y, M9 D9 Z# U1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

; H# V% _8 _* C% F6 @/ Y) ^2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
9 h4 B6 J8 O6 K7 r' s8 D2 joperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
' d8 t  h8 ~, f2 F4 p+ Epolicy.

- T9 E# l- ]0 R% k' e: B2 l: Q4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
4 _' z9 O; O7 h: \/ W' ~  ~card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
' |. c% V2 n4 e& _purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
