11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
1 [. j- u- v( k5 P" h0 @Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
6 }. R+ G2 a1 m3 \( Z4 x+ W* mcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
/ H2 `" Q$ |& @. e9 `8 K# P1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
& F* {( I0 `! j4 M
0 C6 [% B: \! j! P! Y( p2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
) y. m7 A0 `+ ahigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
0 e8 \/ e5 @. T: r" E3 H( k# t! p6 r
3 e- _: d3 w/ h1 V3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
0 r& B- V4 a) a  {/ e  Stotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
- g6 c- ?; v1 \9 oand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
% \5 t: j, H2 H/ Zaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
  ]( g+ J% ^2 h  q5 F; Fintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: `0 Y6 v6 ?, W& M7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
( k& ^0 [0 w; {# e( w( z/ @
7 W: H. ]( W( K# m2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

) {4 @( O, ~8 X0 u7 a3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
2 H/ v+ Q  a) a/ D- f# I
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

0 Y4 U6 S% _' W2 e1 c: B2 hWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
