11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of

* l$ t! E, x8 K0 Y" l% FDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

- h, J* H- A( G! W4 @5 _3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
8 w7 P5 h6 {5 ^, p+ h7 }( f: Etotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
/ T, R! L' J& G$ z* F; L4 v
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
1 D9 o. f# Z: f8 zincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

% [5 [: D) z: Y. r( T; d5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
% |3 O3 Z. W0 n, Haction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
* W% N4 P: O' y" ]3 cintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
' U& ?1 q9 w* m* bManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

" Z  x# j5 L/ z0 x5 N6 |& g0 B2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
  f4 g+ I5 }4 q' e0 f- d
" R( G+ `/ l3 e  |3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
# V  o9 H( j( G0 d$ P- z9 s  [+ ~+ ppolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
# ]$ h, ?! x8 m* |/ n6 V7 ]; k
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
